UX Designer Resume Example
A UX resume is the one document in a designer's application that cannot lean on visuals. The portfolio carries the craft; the resume has to carry the reasoning — what you researched, what you changed, and what happened.

What a ux designer resume has to prove
That also means restraint on the page itself works in your favour. A resume that is legible, well-spaced and quietly typeset is its own small proof, and it survives the ATS that a heavily designed PDF often does not.
Professional summary example
Four lines at the top of the page. Lead with the shape of your experience, then one result that proves it.
Product designer with 7 years across fintech and SaaS, working end to end from research through shipped UI. Redesigned an onboarding flow that lifted activation 27%, and built the design system now used by 30+ engineers. I do the research myself rather than inheriting it.

Mistakes that sink ux designer resumes
- Submitting a heavily designed PDF that an ATS cannot read. Keep the resume plain and let the portfolio do the visual work.
- Describing process without outcome. "Conducted user research" is an activity, not a result.
- Leaving the portfolio link off, or linking to a site that needs a password.
- Listing every tool. Figma plus what you actually use is more credible than a grid of twelve logos.
